Another key aspect of this platform is the constant updating of key media industry individuals, from reporters to editors and producers, so that PR practitioners are better able to target story pitches.
The capability to narrow down this focus would help reduce time and effort on both sides of the media divide so that better stories could be published for readers and viewers, said Intelectasia chief executive officer Manminder Kaur Dhillion.
The reverse is also true for media people, as the portal makes it easier to reach out to PR practitioners for quick responses to events of public interest or specialists to better explain complicated issues, she added.
Manminder said the service – now priced at RM500 monthly or RM5,000 annually for PR practitioners but free for the media – is now focused on Malaysia, with plans to expand regionally over time.
Supernewsroom currently has around 25 PR subscribers, both corporate and government outfits within Malaysia.
